Our Mission
As residents of communities surrounding the Hudson River, our mission is to investigate and share information regarding the industrial development of our region and bring light to potential sources of air, water, and noise pollution.
After decades of pollution and then an exhaustive effort to rid the river of contaminating PCB's, our goal is to maintain the beauty and majesty of the Hudson River, and harness its true potential for economic growth and ecofriendly development.

Resident of Fort Edward, NY Radiology Technician, CT Scan Glens Falls Hospital Retired Horse Farm Owner My interest began as a member of CEASE in its battle and victory to stop the initial dredging of the Hudson and encapsulate them locally. It continued with networking with local residents, environmentalists, GE, EPA, and DEC through the plan, operation, monitoring and completion of a mandated dredging project. This took place at the GE Dewatering Facility, my small farm is within 1500’ of that site. My career as a Radiologic Technologist in CT allowed me to offer support to many members of our community in their battle with cancer and their demise. I accept the challenge to be an advocate to protect this Hudson River/Champlain Canal region from continued devastation and further pollution |

Resident of Hudson Falls, NY B.S. in Biology from St. Lawrence University Masters in Science of Education Science Teacher at Hudson Falls CSD NYS Master Teacher NOAA Planet Steward Clear Air Action Network Board Member On the outskirts of the beloved Adirondacks, our area receives little protection against parasitic industrialization that is threatening the health of our communities and environment. Rich in diversity and natural resources, these habitats are crucial to the survival of endemic and migrating species but also a target for companies looking to profit off the lower social economic status of the region. Throughout my career I have engaged our youth in civic actions to advocate for our health and for the earth and now I am continuing that path full circle to the community itself. |

Fort Edward Resident I retired to Fort Edward from a bustling NJ suburb to create a quiet, organic, sustainable farm, with clean air, water and soil. I joined HOTH as a concerned resident after hearing what was done to this beautiful area. I'm excited to be their secretary and help create awareness regarding the effects that industry can have on our environment. We need to be aware of future industries trying to come here and pollute this are again. Let's move forward and find industries that don't pollute our environment. I want the focus to be on the safety of the environment,e to keep our precious air, water and soil free from contaminants. |
