Getting Involved

Reaching out to your local representatives can be one of the best ways to share your concerns and ask your questions.  Letting them know that issue is a concern and what you think needs to be done can be done by attending village board meetings, the 3rdMonday of every month at 6pm OR by emailing them privately.

If you are looking to provide your feedback to the DEC or ask for more specific answers to your questions, officials are ready to hear your concerns. As WIN Waste/Wheelabrator wraps up their application for their future Air Permit, the DEC will open an OPEN COMMENT period.  It is imperative that your concerns are submitted for review and that your questions are answered.

Breath Free Hudson Falls

Join residents of Hudson Falls and neighboring communities that are demanding DEC take a closer look at their Air Permit application and demand answers to pressing questions regarding the impacts the outdated facility is having on our health (cancer, fertility, hormones), environment, and infrastructure.

HOTH is working to provide data and research to support their claims that what the facility has long mislead our community into believing they are safeguarded by the DEC and their ability to regulate and enforce the permits they have been granted.

Follow them on facebook by searching Breathe Free Hudson Falls for more information on how you can get involved. Read more about how they have been speaking out and raising awareness abut how Wheelabrator has been impacting our region
