Hughes Energy Website uses terms and phrases that suggest their process is environmentally friendly, but are not supported by research or data and are misleading to the public:

• “RECYCLING ORGANICS FOR A ZERO CARBON WORLD” [4].
  • The process of recycling the organics requires natural gas which is a fossil fuel. The organics are eventually going to decompose and release carbon dioxide or methane into the atmosphere.  The carbon is not being removed from the carbon cycle, it is displaced momentarily.
• “Divest from Fossil Fuels - Invest in Sustainable Energy Alternatives” [4].
  • The process of recycling the organics requires natural gas which is a fossil fuel, the burning of which releases copious amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
• “A hyper speed composting system to transform unwanted organic material streams into a higher and better use” [4].
  • CEO Dana McSpedon admitted that this term is being misused in his interview with CAAN on December 8th 2021.  Composting is a controlled aerobic, biological decomposition of biodegradable materials [10].
